Dennis Hollingsworth has been a great addition to the Big HITS Foundation since joining our board in October 2019. He has a heart for serving others and also serves as a member of the Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency which offers annual community service projects.
Since 2016, Dennis has served as the Chief Information Technology (IT) Officer for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). Prior to joining DJJ, he served as the IT Business Manager with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) at the Florida Department of Education (DOE).
In addition, Dennis has served in various IT positions with the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), and the Department of Transportation (DOT). Prior to his employment with the State of Florida, Hollingsworth served 5 years in the United States Air Force working in various IT-related positions.
Hollingsworth’s career in Information Technology spans over 30 years. Despite his distinguished accomplishments, he has committed time and efforts beyond his full-time job to make a difference in the lives of youth through the Big HITS Foundation.
Hollingsworth received his undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems from Florida State University and enjoys playing golf, basketball, music and participating in Florida State athletics.
