Board members attend Pineview Elementary’s New Parent Center Opening

On February 14, Big HITS Foundation Board members Ernie and Alice Sims attended the Pineview Elementary Schools’ Parent Center grand opening and tour.  Principal Carmen Conner and Assistant Principal Oronde McKhan welcomed volunteers and supporting partners to tour the parent center which is absolutely fabulous.  Superintendent Rocky Hanna was also present as well as school board members.  Mr. Hanna commended Principal Conner, staff and volunteers for the impact they are making with the students at Pineview.

The new Parent Center provides the following resources:

Weekly Laundry Services
Rosetta Stone
Food Pantry
Educational Resources for Pre-K through 5th grades
Parent Education Workshops

Pineview’s new Parent Center offers resources, which include a classroom, two sets of washers and dryers, and a food pantry.

All participating parents must complete the LCS volunteer application online, volunteer an equal amount of time up to 3 hours while laundry is being completed or complete Rosetta Stone Assignments (Spanish Speaking parents only). Parents may visit the Parent Center during Pineview Elementary Schools’ normal operating hours. What an amazing resource for the Pineview Elementary School parents!
