As a member of the FSU track team in the early ’80s Alice Sims developed a connection with running relays. “I was a curve runner,” she recalls. “That was my responsibility. You cannot be just an individual on a relay team. Everyone has to work together.”
On February 14, Big HITS Foundation Board members Ernie and Alice Sims attended the Pineview Elementary Schools’ Parent Center grand opening and tour.
On June 6th, Ernie Sims and his team along with several elite athletes, hit the road for the 1st Annual Big HITS College Bus Tour sponsored by the Big HITS Foundation. In one short week, Ernie and a group of athletes covered thousands of miles to visit seven universities and colleges throughout the southeastern region of the United States.
Of the many achievements and opportunities I have had in my life, there is perhaps none greater or one that I am more proud of than being blessed with being a father.
